Pinocchio

Lost in a world of make-believe
I was certain I knew my way
Following a role
I thought I had to play

Yeah I went on my own road and lost my way

Blurred the lines between truth and lies

Tied up in chains
But yearning to fly

You were my fairy-tale angel

Bringing me home

Helping me know I was never alone
In my darkness, when nobody cared.

Just like Pinocchio

Life was a circus show

Nothing was real
I couldn’t feel
Stuck on a dead-end road
But now you’ve cut my strings
And it’s your song I sing
In your arms
I know I’m finally home

I’m so tired of making the same mistakes

Stumbling, falling, scarred

Each time I fall, it pierces your heart
I was given the gift of this jagged thorn

It’s stuck into my side

Maybe it’s the one thing that keeps me alive

You were my fairy-tale angel

Bringing me hope

Helping me know I was never alone
Lighting my darkness with your words of prayer

Just like Pinocchio

I was a circus show

Nothing was real
I couldn’t feel
Lost on a dead-end road
But now you’ve cut my strings
And it’s your song I sing
In your arms, I know I’m finally home.

Finally home

I know I’m finally home

Finally home
